Josh starred Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai as twins. The director Mansoor Khan’s first choice to play the leading lady was Kajol, but she refused. He also wanted his cousin Aamir Khan to play Rai’s love interest, which was eventually played by Chandrachud Singh in the 2000 film.
